The Plum Line has provided consulting services to North American clients with both forest products manufacturing plans and over 3 million acres of forest land.

Although our consulting has focused on preparing clients for sustainable forest management systems (SFMS) audits, we offer a complete set of related forestry and management consulting services. Our SFMS consulting often includes training and simulation audits to prepare staff and contractors for the rigors of a third-party audit. 

A Systems Approach
A “systems” approach to forestry is key to The Plum Line’s concept of sustainable forest management systems. For The Plum Line, a sustainable forest management system is more than just an environmental management system applies to forestry or an existing forest certification system overlaid on your organization. In our view, an organization’s SFMS should grow out of its own values, mission, and strategy.
